Pastor Bill McCoy became the new pastor of Northwoods Baptist Church on December 5th, 2021. He grew up on the south side of Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Southtown Baptist Church and was saved at the age of eight while attending Vacation Bible School. He surrendered to God’s call to preach as a freshman in high school during a message preached by Oliver Arazia. After graduating high school he attended Bible College.
He attended Grace Baptist College in Gaylord, MI and graduated in the spring of 2008 with a B.S. in Pastoral Theology. He has served under three pastors as their assistant for a total of fourteen years.
Pastor Bill McCoy met and married his wife Aspen after they met in Bible college. They have been blessed with five children: Jerusha, Abigail, Stacia, Ronald and Benjamin.
